Do you play live?
I am concentrating on soundtrack work as well as sound design. I like playing live, however my current music styles don't lend themselves to a lot of live shows.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think that the internet is a great place for exposure for young bands like FM was in the late 60's early 70's . Unfortunatly the large music companies are buying out the successful music sites ie. mp3.com. forcing the little guy to go elswhere.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes.
Band History:
Richard has been composing and recording music for fifteen years. Richard has enjoyed success in writing and recording music for theater. As well as music for theater, Richard also creates custom sound effects for local theaters. Two productions that Richard is proud of are Shakespeares "As You Like It" in which Richard composed original modern music to go with lyrics written in the play. The second is "Garret the Blue Giraffe". For Garett Richard wrote three pieces for dance sequences. Garret was performed in New York and Pittsburgh.
Currently he is working with Gary Streiner and Rick Father on the Fan Music page of the Living Dead Festival in Evans City Pa. Rick wrote the Festival theme and is now producing the Fan Music section.
