New song "Questions" just released April 12, 2005!

New Age, Classical, Electronic, and Progressive Rock combine to form some of the most successful tunes on the internet. Several songs hit #1 on mp3.com, including "Lockup" which stayed at #1 on the Progressive Rock chart for 20 weeks. The QCC song "The Calling Spirit" is the featured music in the August, 2001 film "Ghost Hunters." QCC is the solo project of StrangeCloud member Fred Wheeler. In QCC Fred plays all instruments, and brings in some friends on a few special songs. 2 CDs were released in 2000, and a special remastered comibination CD was released in 2001. "nebulae" was released in August, 2004, containing a collection of 20 songs: some new, some previously unreleased, some remastered previously released. A new project is in the works, and is scheduled for release in late 2005. New song "Questions", a collaboration with producer/engineer/recording artist REMO, was released April 12, 2005.

Why this name?
The actual full name is Qui Custodientes Custodient, but I found that most people could not pronouce it properly, so I simply go by "QCC." The name roughly translates to "who watches the watchers (watchmen)?"
Do you play live?
Not much QCC has been performed live. I have performed as a part of StrangeCloud relentlessly in the past few years, and as part of two other bands since the 1970's.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Ask me this question on any given day and I'll give you a different answer.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
For film music, yes. As part of a touring band, no.
Band History:
1998 - began writing this music while writing and recording music with StrangeCloud. Initially represented songs that didn't quite go with the direction StrangeCloud was heading.
1999 - Worked on new material, recording, during breaks from StrangeCloud recording sessions and live performances.
2000 - Released "Fairies & Monsters" in January and it immediately hit the top of the selling charts on mp3.com, along with several songs hitting #1 in various genres. Released the followup CD "Escape" in late May. More success and acclaim.
2001 - The song The Calling Spirit used as the theme music for independent film Ghost Hunters. Remixed and remastered many songs and released them on a new CD simply called "Qui Custodientes Custodient".
2003 - writing new songs
2004 - released nebulae, a 20 song collection of old and new music.
2005 - released the song Questions, a collaboration with REMO.
