Pull The Plug is a reactionary melody-laden rock band rooted in indie and early punk. We're all from Toms River, NJ. To find out more info, go to our website.
Why this name?
The name Pull The Plug is a reference to coming off life support, which can be taken in a few ways. Our lyrics deal with topics such as God, suicide, love, and philosiphy of life in general.
Do you play live?
We play our hometown quite a bit, and we branch out all over NJ and soon we'll be playing more of the Northeastern US.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet and filesharing via programs such as Soulseek or websites such as this one really spread the word about bands who otherwise would only be heard in their hometown which might not necessarily be their scene, creating a fanbase problem.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
We are looking to sign with a label that will provide us with the resources we require to spread our name and expand our fanbase therefore providing us with more places to play. We're here to play music that's made to be heard, not played in a garage and practiced for nothing.
Your influences?
We're influenced by alot of what we grew up with, ranging from Bad Brains and The Misfits to David Bowie and Lou Reed. We're also influenced by some of the newer music in the scene, ranging from indie/experimental bands like Cursive or Song of Zarathustra to just good hard hitting post-hardcore bands like My Chemical Romance or Death By Stereo.
Favorite spot?
Our favorite place to be is here in New Jersey. No matter where you are in New Jersey, you're being watched by at least three policemen, and you have a 60% chance of being shot (either by hicks or by cops)

We use what we have, and we're getting more.
