Why this name?
It's in old english, it means "mountainwood" or something similar.
Fyrgen = mountain/hill
Holt = forest/wood
We chose it because it feels right, for us and the music.

Band History:
Formed as Ravenous Beast many years ago (2000?) with no realm aim, ambition, or indeed songs. After a couple of years riff-writing and advancement of our minds, we decided to change name... to Fyrgenholt. We now know what we are doing, and hope to sort out a debut demo/album soon.

A whole load of black metal bands, including bands such as Wyrd, Falkenbach, Nargaroth, Burzum, Darkthrone, Abyssic Hate, Bilskirnir, Judas Iscariot, Mayhem...and many others.
