And you thought I had forgotten...
Thanks for stopping by my page. New music (finally!) as of January 16, 2006--"In The Circle" uploaded this morning.
More in the works--new recordings on the way!
Primarily acoustic singer/songwriter material here.
Guitar/vocals/bass/rhythm section/other instruments all done by Bill Chandler. Most of the recordings are done in my home studio.
Working on updating the site now.

Why this name?
um...er...eh...well, I didn't. My parents did...
Do you play live?
Not currently playing out--but I'm working on that...stay tuned.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it has done worlds of good--at least for the songwriters and performers. We are no longer limited to what some suit in an office thinks will sell--we can go directly to the audience, and let them decide. I think this is the best possible approach.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Not likely--I'm just not commercial. If any of them offered, and would leave me with total control of my material, recordings, and copyrights, I'd consider it.
Not likely, though.
Not likely, though.
Band History:
In a nutshell--I started playing guitar when I was 10; got serious about it at 14; added bass at 15, and went on from there. I've been singing all along. Went to Berklee from 1980-1984, graduated with a degree in Professional Music, principal instrument of Tuba...which is why I now work with computers and play guitar and bass on the side. Been writing for years, never as prolific as I'd like to be, but I keep at it.
Your influences?
Folk/rock--influences include Harry Chapin, John Hiatt, Tom Waits, Warren Zevon, Bob Dylan, Jackson Browne, Dan Fogelberg, Crosby Stills Nash & Young
Favorite spot?
Tough call--any place where I can be comfortable and make music. New Orleans is a great town...I prefer the country, myself.
Equipment used:
Well, I ain't techno or electronica...Guild acoustic guitars (6- and 12-string); Fender Highway 1 Stratocaster electric guitar, Fender Precision bass, Boss DR-5 for rhythm section and synth parts, recorded on a Frankentower PIII 533MHz machine (thanks, Jim!).
Anything else...?
I'd like to thank the Academy (ok, never mind...) Thank you for supporting home-grown, home-made music!
