Why this name?
My name is my name! Sometimes people ask me why I called myself Calum, well I didn't! my parents did, shortly after I was born.
Do you play live?
I play live when I can, and I enjoy it, every gig is unique.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think the Internet is a great idea for the music industry, so long as it doesn't become the only vehicle for the distribution and promotion of music. Time will tell I suppose.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Of course! I want to release records as much as anybody does! I have enough material to fill several albums already!
Band History:
Well, in short, I have played in several bands. A punk band called Why? in college, then a pop band called The Lapels in Edinburgh, then briefly a space rock band called Wascomat 73. Since then I have been writing and playing my own music in England, Scotland and Australia.
Your influences?
My influences are many and various! My musical style is rockpunkjazzfolkbluessoul with maybe some classical and world music in there too!
