Skin Deep
Hello. I'm Robbie. I'm from the UK. I in the last year have settle into this song writing mould, In my lifetime I've written however very few songs. I've decided however at 19 its time to sit down and work, if I wish to achieve anything in this great industry. I also am a little bit of an MC nothing special, I have nothing on the guys in the states and the guys at the top of the game on the UK Garage and Urban music generally, I do my thing simple as. Why this name?
Well it's my name Robert, always been called Robbie so hey I guess it kinda fits.
Do you play live?
I wish but like I stated In my opening gambit I have to work toward that, as a goal.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It can be good for the music industry, but at the moment I feel in some areas it's damaging, record labels need to stop sueing people and think of ways to market legal mp3's.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Of course, I'd be silly not to, but only if it was right for me, I don't have an amazing voice co I'd settle for a publishing deal, if my songs are deemed good enough, but If I don't try I will never know.
Your influences?
I'm a huge fan of Craig David I was 15 when he first came out and like many people I could relate to what he was saying in his songs. I'm a fan of the Mary J's the Joes, Brian McKnight, Donell Jones, etc etc.
Favorite spot?
London, its hectic but it's like home.
