Why this name?
"DOCTOR BOW" is just a nick-name given by friends. I really go by Jonathan....
Do you play live?
Yes. Festivals to Clubs to House Concerts. I prefer small intimate settings where I can interact with listeners.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It is an avenue where indie acts can gather new listeners (fans) from around the world. Listeners can discover new music at their leisure. In this mass market of musical junk food, people can now decide for themselves what they like and want to listen to as opposed to having Major Labels and narrow radio formats choose their selection for them. It is a welcome alternative.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
This would depend on the dynamics of it. There are some Major Label acts whose albums I would love to play a track on. SADE, for example.
