Do you play live?
Yes.... oh, wait.... you mean for money?
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Don't have any special insights into how the industry has changed, but on a personal level:

    Positives
  • I get exposed to a lot more music, now. Both variety and quantity.
  • I don't have to devote any more shelf space to CD's, LP's, Cassettes, 8-tracks, etc.
  • The series of tubes has allowed me to collect more live performances of my favorite bands than I would have dreamed possible 20 years ago.

    Negatives
  • I miss the cool Album artwork
  • I miss the magic of trading live shows, scoring a copy of a much coveted gig, sharing with friends, etc. Just takes a 10 second google search to find most shows, now.

Your influences?
Lester Flatt, Tony Rice, Donna the Buffalo, Peter Rowan, Grateful Dead, Gram Parsons, Django Reinhart, Doc Watson, Bill Monroe, Merle Haggard, Clarence White...
