HELLO MY NAME IS AJENE WEEKES OR "dA gEeK". I am from Trenton, NJ. I am currently 18 yrs. old, and I chose not to go to college because i hate school, and i also am confident that my beats will make me wealthy. And i would like to add that i don't use any computer software! I make my own beats! Its all me, i sample oldies at times, but no fruityloops, or whatever other programs are out there! Why this name?
I chose my name simply cuz that is what i am. A geek.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet to me is great! It is worldwide so your music can be heard by any and everybody.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Oh hell yeah! No doubt! Bring it on Russell, and Dr. Dre, come on Ruff Ryders! Any major label is good for me. Until then I can sell my beats for $50 each through this.
Your influences?
I am influenced by The Neptunes, Timbaland, Dr. Dre, Lil John, and Just Blaze!
Favorite spot?
My favorite spot is Club 88. Its a strip joint! I plan to get rich and go throw money at them girls, and then you know what will go down! They will!
Equipment used:
I use an Alesis Ion Synth, and a MPC2000xl. I play all my keys and drums.
