We're At Best from Long Island, we're just a couple kids from the small town of Lindenhurst getting together to play some hardcore music. We're influenced by artists such as Embrace Today, Gorilla Biscuits and more.
Why this name?
It's a Bane song, that completely kicks ass.
Do you play live?
We haven't had any shows yet, because we're still writing more material.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It gets the smaller bands out there among larger bands and really the lines have been blurred, I think its amazing actually.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes. It obviously has its perks, but I would only want to sign on a major if I know in my heart we paid all our dues.
Band History:
Alright this can take awhile.
Me(Shaun, i played bass), Chris(the axe man), and John(who played drums), were in Chris' basement(where these songs were recorded) and we were just fooling around playing breakdown styled stuff in the vein of well, I guess bury your dead? whatever, beatdown after beatdown, all you need to know.
So we told our friend Tim about this and he was down, John dropped out for some reason, so Tim started playing drums, me, i moved to guitar, and we got another chris, to play bass.. and that was Blood On The Dance Floor.. this band went through ridiculous line up changes, with Joe singing for us, and then me kicking Chris(the axe man) out because he wasn't serious enough, then joe moved to guitar(what a talented kid) and we asked this other kid John(who sung in keep this alive) to sing for us, he was excited, except he didn't want the name to be blood on the dancefloor, so me and tim thought up names threw a few around and AT BEST was the only thing that fit our goals, to be a positive hardcore band. ANNNNNNNNNND the only problem we never practiced with him, or joe on guitar, that was all conceptual.
After awhile we got tired of the breakdown bullshit, and Joe's not in the band anymore, and Chris(the axe man) is back playing guitar.

So as the line up stands right now:
Me(Shaun) on vocals
Chris on guitar
Crey Day on bass
and Tim on drums..

nooooooooooooow, the tough part, we need someone from long island, with transportation to play 2nd guitar for us.. we don't want metal at all, so leave that at the door.

Thanks, I hope you enjoy us, because I know we do. xoxo- shaun
