C.M.Dess is a media music content provider. His work can be heard in Feature Films, Documentaries, TV Shows, the Web and Virtual Instruments. Music is influenced by Classical Traditions and Modern Innovation. CM provides a sound and tools which cater to visual media professionals. At age 14 the Central Florida Symphony performed a prelude for paino and orchestra composed by C.M.Dess. After moving to San Francisco, California, CM released several music library collections through APMMusic which include Promo/Trailer and HighTech Electronic material. CMDess has also helped pioneer Groove Shadows an effect-based production technique enabling novice and advanced users to stimulate audio recordings as well as productions, the first Groove Shadow virtual instrument was released by Ueberschall in their Elastik plugin format. CM is currently (2010) working on additional Music Library Collections and Documentaries as well as next generation music formats.

Music Forward
CMDess has been grinding tone, texture and time together for 17 years. CM is a dynamic music provider who strives to deliver an optimal listening experience in every production. Classical, Contemporary / Technological, Folk, Spiritual, Fantasy, Urban, and Rock music form the navigational core of the CMDess production approach. CM has an up-close relationship with each process in song and cue development and aims to keep pace with design trends and sound innovation. He performs all the instruments in his pieces as well as produces, arranges, notates, and mixes his material with the help of world class instrument and plug-in and application developers.
His first major industry breakthrough came at age 14 when a Symphonic Orchestra chose one of his orchestral compositions for public performance. Early in his career CM worked on both sample loop development as well as Sound Design for professional applications. He has also worked with award winning composers and absorbed critical concepts for making music tailored to visuals. This from the ground up exposure offers insights into the compositional and creative process which give his music a distinct quality. CM was also raised in radio stations and comes from a highly musical family.
Groove Shadow
Groove Shadow is a production concept which CM highlights as one of his strengths. It has the ability to transform the way listeners, users and creators interact with compositions. Groove Shadow involves FX based rhythmic design sculpted to blend behind foreground grooves. Many of CM compositions include a dash of this fortifying concept. He hopes to include and highlight this work in future works, eventually enabling users of his material to adjust the volume of the FX work in tracks with minimal effort. The first Groove Shadow Elastik instrument released was comprised of material produced by CMDess and won Sound On Sound's 5 Star award.
