Hole
We are a Lewis Co. Kentucky local band with no formal name as of yet.. At one point in time 3 guys Jasper, Lance & Monte came together to make some music... After the first time playing together there was definate chemistry... Later on in time the group fell apart due to some unfortunate circumstances... But after a period apart the guys all decided to put their differences behind them to enter a battle of the bands... The battle was that day and the guys all got out of school... Went and wrote a song in about an hour and practiced it continually until the time came to perform as "Shorty and the Disapointments" (inside joke)... None the less we won the battle and decided there was something good here so we are still together today...
Why this name?
The band has yet to decide on an official title... We seem to keep a rotation of different humorous names to keep things interesting... As of lately we are known as "Shorty and the Disapointments" (inside joke)... Eventually we will come up with a decent name that will stick... Until then you can call us whatever the heck ya want....
Do you play live?
Yeah we play live whenever the chance comes around... It doesn't matter the venue... We'll play it.. We would like to play out alot more but theirs not much opportunity here in Lewis County....
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The sharing of Mp3's over the net really helps small unheard of bands like ourselves get there sound out into the public ear....
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Who knows... noones sticking a contract in our faces yet....
Band History:
We'll we dont have too much history behind us to speak of... We are a relatively new band... We had previously been together but broke up for a period of time due to some unfortunate events concerning two of the members in the band... After putting petty differences behind us we decided nothing was gonna stop us from making music together... So here we are now...
Your influences?
The three of us really have a wide variety of musical influences... On one side of the fense we have tastes for sounds like more emo,indi,punk, melodic hardcore related sounds... and on the other hand we sometimes have influences from the more classical rock age....
Favorite spot?
What kind of question is that??? We're not really sure what to say to that? lol...

Monte plays: electric Fender Strat, Black with the bonus of a massive hole busted off of the side of it.... haha..
Lance plays: electric Fender jazz bass, Blue... With a Vintage 57' Fender Bass Man Amp
Jasper plays: Pearl Sessions Custom (wine red wood finish)/OCDP (black serpentine w/ Black Powder coating) drums, Zildjian Cymbals and Vic Firth Sticks.....
