G-Tiz: Bio

Gregory “ G-Tiz “ Tinfley born and raised in New York City, the notorious Marcy Avenue Projects Brooklyn,NY. life don’t get any harder than that’. As a child I witnessed it all up, police harassment, drug abuse and numerous acts of violence. I wanted it all when I was growing up, the flashy things, to a good family and respect. Dad passed away and Mom did her best to keep us cover. School was fun at the same time was like a war zone- fights after fights. Music is my life, I love it, I need it and it helped me be who I am. I started rhyming when I was a child, a baby and I can’t stop, battle other kids around the way and having a lot of fun doing it. I felt free when I was rhyming as a kid, took all the pain away, I felt untouchable and the kids liking it make me feel real good. Now I rhyme more smarts, more compassionate and more conscious about everyday life situations. I convert my pain into stories that can give hope to others. I entered a contest in the 90’s held by the Wu Tang Clan, I had no choice but to defeated over 100 MCs. Took my show on the road- did Club Cheetah, Scorpion manor, venues around NYC, was on the hard-knock-life tour and appeared in a movie to name a few things I’ve been doing. I have a knack for clever metaphors and a flow that works on both gritty hardcore beats to laid-back RnB flavor. I can handle it all, when I write my rhymes, I’m teaching you. Speaking to the youth about the harshness of life is very important to me and I know they need guidance because I did, so I’m careful about what I say. It’s not usually where you from that matters the most but what you make for yourself wherever you at. I’m not all about the money and fancy cars, instead I’m about how I’m living at the moment and how I wanna live the days ahead. My life story is as real as life is, tried and tested in both life and the rap and no one should underestimate I wont survive.

Your influences?
Hip-HOP, rap RnB are my flavors...thats what really influences me when it comes to music.
Favorite spot?
NEW YORK CITY... no doubt about it!!!!
Equipment used:
Whatever the producer uses to make the beatz is fine with me as long as it sounds good.
Anything else...?
Music is life and I luv it... share my music with me and feel what i'm saying or at least understand the stories I have.
