Oakley Road Studio is an affordable and independent recording, mixing, and mastering service that will always deliver a true hi-fi/audiophile quality product.
Why this name?
Why not? I mean . . . I grew up on South Oakley ave. and who doesn't know Abby Road Studio, soooooo.
Do you play live?
Live, sure? I need a band first though.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It's good and bad. I think websites like these should be thought of as tools to facilitate artist exposure to music enthusiasts. The internet is also bad for music, simply because, 'illegal' downloading cripples income to smaller artists.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Depends what the contract was.
Band History:
Started playing guitar in 2005, got esoteric with it circa 2008, then got Pro Tools soon after.
Your influences?
Killswitch Engage and every other Massachusetts melodic hardcore band.
Favorite spot?
I like what's familiar to me, I like Minneapolis and parts of Canada like Whistler or Calgary.
Equipment used:
Digidesign Software & Plugins, Shure mics, Axe-fx, Focusrite Outboard Gear, Toontrack, M-Audio, Bare Knuckle Pickups, Schecter & Music Man & Parker Guitars, Evidence Audio Cables, Maxon Pedals, Mesa Boogie Traditional 4x12s, and ENGL & VHT Amplifiers.
Anything else...?
The following was my closing statement on my humanities final.
"Everyone that cares about life and humanity will try to esoterically study Humanities. A fastidious study of our humanity will result in feelings of detachment from life as you know it, thus resulting in less compassionate affiliation for/with humanity than perviously encompassed. Is ignorance the answer then? No, ignorance is not the answer, all we need to do as humans is live life myopically and not attempt to justify everything in life."
