I'm a Pittsburgh singer-songwriter who plays out mostly solo, sometimes as a duo, and every so often as a full (rock) band.
Why this name?
It's just my name.
Do you play live?
Yes, I'm always playing out somewhere. For more details, see my website!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It makes it easier to connect with listeners all over the place, and harder to convince people to spend money for music.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
That would depend on what the contract looked like! Probably not a "traditional" major contract, no, but maybe something a little more creative.
Your influences?
John Prine, Bruce Cockburn, Paul Westerberg/Replacements, Ani DiFranco, Joni Mitchell, Victoria Williams, early U2, REM, Elliot Smith, Nenah Cherry, Django Haskins, Mark Eitzel, Dylan . . .
Favorite spot?
That's tough. I'm pretty fond of Pittsburgh, though.
Equipment used:
Takemine acoustic guitar, Fender Acoustisonic Jr. amp, soprano saxophone (Couf).
