BETTER OFF BOUND is a Greensboro, NC-based hard rock band. With influences ranging from Led Zeppelin, Tool, Black Label Society and Radiohead, BOB is a eclectic mix of hard rock groove music...with lyrics that actually have a meaning!
With the release of last year's 3 song demo, the band was not satisfied with a mere glimpse at the band. So, in January of 2004, BETTER OFF BOUND entered their "studio" (their rehearsal room armed with a TASCAM Portastudio) and hammered out their debut CD with DISSENT RECORDS, "Just Forgotten". CHock full of high-octane guita rriffs, emotional lyrics and big f***in' grooves, "Just Forgotten" is proof that 2004 is a year to be BETTER OFF BOUND!

Why this name?
We chose the band name from the title of the first song that we wrote together as a band.
Do you play live?
Will play live for food, beer, money or no money (which we do a lot)!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
MP3's are the future of the music industry. It allows indie bands, such as BETTER OFF BOUND, the ability to market it's music to people that may never have gotten the chance to hear it before the dawn of the MP3.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Well, we just signed with DISSENT RECORDS out of Fayetteville, NC. So, YES, WE WOULD!!!
Band History:
Formed from the ashes of several local bands, BETTER OFF BOUND takes the hard rock guitar sound of Kevin Hemphill, the ocean sized grooves laid down by drummer Rob Wojnar and bassist Matt Asbury and adds the highly political, deeply intense, introspective lyrics of Benji Hebner to give the listener a smack in the head that they never forget!
