My name is T.R.I.F.E. I'm a hiphop/soul artist. I currently live in Bronx, NY. The sole purpose of my music and why I do what I do is to uplift the inner city community and all other communities like mine around the world. I would say my music is a hybrid of witty lyrical social commentary mixed with positive messages that merge together over soulful, old school inspired beats. You won't find the typical hiphop jargon on my records. I try to push the envelope from subject matter to innovative word play. It is my intent to bring more people into the fold and open hiphop/soul music as a genre that is respected worldwide. At the end of the day, I make music I can play in front of my mom and dad and not feel ashamed or having to press mute at certain sections.
