Alpha Records , aka Alpha Productionz , based in Columbus Ohio. Founded by Yogi & Iron Child 2001 , a New School vibe to hip hop set to hit the scene in 2002 with a different style than alot of those "comercial" artist out there , ranging from hard-core lyrics to R&B .

Why this name?

Alpha means one , we plan to be the first of our kind to step off the net and set forth a new wave of Mc's and R&B artists

Do you play live?

Yogi the CEO & President lives at a residence in Columbus Ohio , though alot of the artist are from all around the nation i.e Iron Child resides in STL.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

It gives new artist a place to begin ; a place to gather material and promotion to bring forth a hopefully successfull career

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

We are a Independent Label

Band History:

Alpha Records , formally with Iron Mic Entertainment , through some disputes alot of tha Iron Mic artists left the label all together , while Yogi and Iron Child moved on to begin a project of their own aka Alpha Productions which later formed into Alpha Records...brought forth some artist formally with Iron Mic like Katastrofik , Iron Child , J-ra , and some new bloode , such as SinChyld , Sylense , and R&B artists Angel , and Glam'rous ...with that roster we are looking to a bright future ahead

We have many , some as far back as NWA , some as current as Alicia Keys , the notables are Bone Thugs n Harmony , Nas , Mobb Deep , and Method Man
