Lady ChiStylez (also known as ChiStylez), is an artist representing Chicago, The Windy City. Unlike a lot of underground hip-hop artists, her music focuses on the positive, instead of harping on the negative. She has created a mix of R&B, Hip-Hop, and Soul that will inform as well as entertain.
Why this name?
Lady ChiStylez began her rhymin career as Chi Balla, a name given to her by a high school friend Marcsman. This name was always confused to be male, so she began to search for something else. When searching for a new name, she discussed this with TionnaJante, another well known undergroung femcee. The two of them settled on ChiStylez, because of the many styles of work which she performs. The 'Lady' was added recently, to leave no doubt as to her gender.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet changes the industry in both good and bad ways...it provides exposure for emcees who would otherwise not be heard. But at the same time, it offers people the chance to share signed artists music in a controversial, and sometimes illegal way.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If the opportunity presented itself, I would have to do some serious soul searching before I decided anything...

Favorite spot?
My favorite city would have to be Chicago. Honestly, I've been MANY places and to many countries, and I love the place I call home. There's just an atmosphere that I haven't found anywhere else...if I do, this city will change, but I love Chicago: the people, the food, the music, the style...
