Will Sowden is a singer-songwriter who is based in Sydney, Australia. He begun songwriting back in 2003 when he was eight years old and since then has developed his songwriting style.
His first major project was the 'Explorations EP' which included the popular hit 'Go Thunder', 'Who Can Save The World' and the theme song for a show Tim used to host on 2RDJ name 'Listen In (Time For Time With Tim)'.
Will then was determined to record a full length album at home and it took from January 2009 until September 2009 to complete the album 'Music FC' and he released it on the 6th of September with great feedback. Favourites of listeners include 'The March To Happiness', 'Catching The Train', 'She'll Be The One For Me' and 'My Family' but most people like the album as whole.
After the success of handing out over 60 copies of Music FC to friends and family and producing alone in his room Will Sowden then was confident that he could begin recording a second album. Will has recently released 'Falling Together' to come off the album. This album is definite step away from the vibes of 'Music FC' and so Will came up with the name 'Redefined Play' and will be the name of the album with 14 tracks to be on the album. But before that is released Will Sowden has released a more keyboard driven album consisting of 12 tracks named 'Out Of The Darkness' which sounds scary but is a big surprise.
Up to now Will Sowden has gathered many fans from his year group at school and has great family support so he has plenty of pressure regarding what he comes out with from his next album but the definite thing is that everyone will be surprised, in a good way.

Why this name?
I chose my band name by thinking what my own name is, oh that's right Will Sowden.
Do you play live?
I have played few live gigs many exclusively to my family but I had one live performance at the end of last year to my whole grade at school and when it got the chorus of the two songs I played everyone sung along, it was amazing! This year I performed at the talent quest also, I performed a new song which will be released on 'Redefined Play'.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Gives music listeners quicker access to music they like and it give music artists more chance to break into the music industry.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Definitely, that's what I like to think I am aspiring towards. A career in music and songwriting.
Your influences?
I have a wide range of musical influences including Pete Murray and Travis to name a few but bear in my mind that I keep my music purely original and I hardly play covers.
Favorite spot?
Sydney! That's where I live......
