Why this name?
Well, the original name of the band was EXIT69 when it was Matt, John and Big Mike Shapiro, after Big Mike left and Mike "The Mountain" joined the band we still we're going to use it till one day checking for .coms and found that some cheesy cover band in Michigan or some place all ready had it copyrighted.
Burntbridges was the name of a song we we're playin' around with(Bad Day) and the name really didn't fit the song so we decided it fit the band better.

The internet exposes your music to so many more listener that you ever could have done in the past.
Hell we made #2 in the SoundClick Rock&Roll charts in the past a band could wait years just to be on any charts.

Burntbridges born 4-20-03.
The band much like their name was born out of frustration and triumph.
Much like the world around them the three members of Burntbridges came from varied backgrounds.
A New Englander, a Florida Cracker , and a Native American. .
They were raised by the "Hard Knock Life" The three grew up disillusioned and disenchanted with the status quo..
Through numerous years of hard living their paths finally crossed high up in the Smokey Mountains.
J. W. met John who expressed interest in jamming. After a few smokin' sessions they decided to take a chance on a band..
Mike who was a mutualy disallusioned was asked to play bass.
And in 2007 Jesse Knight Joined the band.
Burntbridges is an idea and a concept as much as it is a name and band.
Everyone has burnt bridges at some point in their life to get to where they're at.
In the end it still is all about the music.
