Ray and Bob write songs, play instruments, and record the results. To assist them in their plan for world domination, they enlist the support of a variety of singers, string and horn players, and sound wizards. The results, for better or worse, reflect the diverse tastes of Carmen and Ethington - Ray a pure popster, Bob a dark primitive, and both connoisseurs of obscure noises and varied genres. Indeed, it is this latter confluence of interests (the realization of a shared affection for Robert Wyatt's music dates the beginning of their friendship), coupled with utter respect for one another's er, um...eccentricities, that is at the heart of the 'KS experience'.
