Alderman
Alderman is not my real name. That is Leif Liljeqvist. I live in Stockholm, Sweden. Music is very important for me and I enjoy making songs. I hope you will enjoy my music.

Why this name?
..well....because I´m 62 and hopefully a bit wiser.
Do you play live?
When I was younger I played a guitar in a "hobby-band", we where never a commercial band.....we sounded a lot but was not that good. But we had fun!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Amazing way to find so many artists on the internet and share my music with others, and not being limited to the CD-stores offers any longer, that’s great!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
To be quite honest I don´t think anyone is interested ;)
But I would love to make music to movies.....
Band History:
I started in oct 2003. Hopefully I´ve improved since then.
Your influences?
I like a wide range of music. In my opinion the most important thing making a song is that it has a good groove and a feeling. Bands that have inspired me most are Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, Mike Oldfield, Vangelis, Alan Parsons, Rolling Stones, U2, Uno Svenningsson, Ravel, Bjorn Lynne and many many more......
Favorite spot?
Österlen (south Sweden). Jämtland (by the mountains in the middle of Sweden). The Alps in summertime.
Equipment used:
Edirol midi controller, Sonar Cakewalk, virtual synths, drum machine.
Mackie Mixer 1202, Schecter C-1 Elite (electric guitar) and a Gibson J-45 Acoustic Guitar.
Anything else...?
...umm....I don’t think so....
Oh yes, there is one thing I want to mention. It’s great that sites like this exists. It has been clear to me that there´s a huge amount of talented musicians on the net.

hi leif, i came across your music and it's AMAZING!!! the instruments and equipment you use are perfect for it. i wish you all the luck in getting a label because the whole world should hear your music. i really like "a bright day", and if i ever write a book that gets turned into a movie, i will remember this song!!!

Love the guitar work....tight!

Ohhh heck yes!
This is my cup of tea dude! Love the fusion and infusion of genre's,styles and arrangement....sounds so new and refreshing...lot's of melodic choices and sounds....Really like this!!!

Howdy Leif...

I've been away from my computers for three months...up in Conn. with Avalanche in the recording studio and making a new HD Documentary about the band and our process. I get back here and find that once again, you have visited our page while I was away. I sure hope you don't hold it against me for being so slow to get back to you to thank you. smile :)

Space Train To Amdromeda....what can I say. Loved the track...your production is second to none...and title was really cool, too!

I hope your health problems we discussed aren't giving you too many problems...this getting older stuff sure ain't for wimps. All the best to you in Sweden...my friend.
