We're a four peice emocore unit from Columbus, Ohio. We're in the process of writing, so expect songs on here very, very soon.
Why this name?
It's a play on words. Oh, and here's a funny one...a girl that we know asked us why our band was so sad. Heh. She was entirely serious.
Do you play live?
Yeah, we do. Sadly, only at our school's benefit concerts and at the pool.
Band History:
We started as the Utopian Suicides back in August. Actually, it was just Tim (guitar), Beth (vocals), and Jack (drums). I (Evan) asked if they needed a bassist, and they let me in. That was that, we took some time being a cover band to improve our skills a bit, and we've slowly evolved into Mourning Glory.
Your influences?
We're heavily influenced by the post-hardcore movement (Vendetta Red, Thursday, The Used, Dead Poetic) and grunge/alternative rock (Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, etc).
Favorite spot?
In your stereo with your windows rolled down and a grin plastered on your face.
