Profile for Team Petey

A review from Garageband.com said it all:

Rich chords, soaring melodies, close harmonies and tight rhythms.
Glen's music has it all.

Why this name?
It's my name. Pretty simple.

Add me as a friend on Myspace! I'm at: GLEN'S MYSPACE

Or, you can see my personal webpage at: GLEN'S PERSONAL WEBSITE
Be sure to say "HI!" :-)
Do you play live?
For the past 14 years, I played live nearly every weekend. But, recently, the band has decided to go our separate ways. So, I'm currently focusing my efforts in the studio - both writing and recording.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet has opened up the WHOLE WORLD to every musician. It's allowed me to sell CDs from Egypt to Japan and nearly everywhere in between! I never could have achieved that without the internet.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If a major label would have me, I'd be happy to sign. But, the phone still isn't ringing off the hook. :-)
Band History:
My music has always been very personal to me. Even though it's my hobby, it's my passion as well. I've been writing music for about 25 years - and, as you'll hear, I try to vary my styles. Something from Power Ballads to Dance - and everything in between. I've also been in bands since I was about 13 years old (and that's a damn long time!) :-) I've had the pleasure of being the drummer in the "opening act" for:
Charlie Daniels Band,
The Monkee's,
The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band,
The Everly Brothers, and
Ricky Van Shelton

to name a few. In addition, Big Head Todd and the Monsters drummer, Brian Nevin, allowed me to "sit in" with the band when he actually used my DW kit for one of their concerts.
Your influences?
Phil Collins is my inspiration... He's first and foremost a drummer - but, moreover, he's a complete musician. Josh Groban is also an amazing vocalist.
Anything else...?
