The Prisoner's Dilemma
NEWS   11/24/03 - we're happy to announce our inclusion on the WMUC 88.1 FM Third Rail Compilation. On it is Justin Patrick's Categorical Imperative from our April 13th show. We suggest you pick it up, as its got a whole lot of great music from a bunch of different bands.

In other news, one of our favorite bands, Burbis, will be playing the next Outside DC Records show at Renzo's on December 13th. Burbis is a mostly instrumental quartet hailing from New Jersey, and will most definitely be bringing the rock. If all goes as planned, we'll be doing a 7" with Burbis early in the new year.

Thanks again to everyone who came out to our last few shows!!!

the prisoner's dilemma is an instrumental rock band from Washington, DC. Together since February 2002, they have earned comparisons to such bands as Mogwai, Fugazi, and Don Caballero. the prisoner's dilemma's sound combines the calculated anarchy of math rock with the melodies and textures of noise rock. In July 2002, the band took a few days to record four songs. Later that month, on July 27th, Outside DC Records released a (self-titled) EP of the material, for which the band continually fails to get enough copies of as they've repeatedly sold out. The band has played numerous shows in the metro-Washington area, and has booked multiple shows out of state as well. the prisoner's dilemma has quickly become known for their amazing live shows.
