Why this name?
We originally called our band Motel 5 1/2 but nobody could find us on Youtube.

Blueberry Hill is a beautiful mountain in the wilderness, and it sounds kind of bluegrassy!
Do you play live?
Yep, just about any chance we can get. We like all the bluegrass festivals, roots music venues, private parties, or just on the front porch.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It's great fun to lay down some tracks with someone on the other side of the world. Nice to share with our bluegrass fans in Europe, Asia, Egypt, etc.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
We'd have to stop playing to do that. Hmmm?
Band History:
We're a family band founded in 2009. There are four of us, and the kids are happy to have their mom playing bass. She's like a diesel tractor back there!
Your influences?
Music has been our main influence. But we like all the good stuff. Mostly old folk tunes and some originals. Anything with feeling and emotion -- fast or slow.
Favorite spot?
North Cascades and San Juan Islands
Equipment used:
Martin & Collings. Rich & Taylor banjo. When we play a gig, sometimes they need rental equipment to get the mess cleaned up. Clamps and glue to fix furniture and stuff like that :)
Anything else...?
We play for the love of music, and love to share it with others. It is fun to dig up and old song and play it a new way. Every song has a story -- sort of like taking a trip without all the hassle of luggage and airfare!
