This is my page from last year. There are 33 Hip Hop Instrumentals here, ranging from fully arranged songs to 4 bar loops. Most of them have random times between 30 seconds and 5 minutes. Why this name?
Def-1 is my crew name, so its only right that im a Def-1 4lyfe
Do you play live?
Don't play live, but i jam out all tha time wit my friends. Either they on the turntables an i record em while im jus freestylin on my drum machines or i jam wit my other friend and his guitar. We bring our equipment over, set it all up n jam for hours straight no break. Who needs a break when u in the zone wit ur music?? real producers feel what im sayin
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Its cool, if it wasnt for the internet you probably wouldnt have heard what i got.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Probably, as long as i get to make music im cool wit it... but money is'nt what im after, its ALL about the music.
Band History:
Been makin music for 4 years.. friend showed me a hip hop ejay demo, an it was the only thing i have ever really applied myself towards and taken seriously.. Its my life man!!
Your influences?
Any form of hip hop that is not mainstream and commercialized (basically music thats got a good vibe, positive message etc.. not that snoop, chingy, sean paul bullshit)
