Jay KP aka Xception (born on March 14, 1987), real name John-Kevin Pierre is a Rapper/Beatmaker/Sound Engineer/Musician since 2000 from Montreal. He self-produced his first mixtape that has been available since October 31st 2007 titled ''I Give You My Words'' with a few collaborations with Carlito, U-Clide, Westnyle and Vandal. Jay KP also has a few artists (Techniques, ENT, Ssimo Spitz, Helena and more...) featuring on his first Mixtape we could qualify as a Street Album because of the depth, quality and structure of the songs in his very first music project. With all these titles, he has big plans and big dreams but he is known for being down to earth and a realist. He tries to make his music as Versatile as possible to please the biggest crowd possible but it still reflects his personality in the lyrics and melodies. Jay KP adopted the nickname ''Xception'' because he is aware of the way Montreal rappers usually get in the game copying commercial U.S. rappers' influences and end up never coming out with anything original. He tries to value his orginality almost as much as his lyrical talent, his beatmaking skills and his musical mindset.
