Why this name?
My nickname in high school was Pinky. I thought adding the 2Dye4 was catchy in more ways than one.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think that the introduction of the digital age has opened more possibilities to artists who are from the more underground relm. Increased exposure to different genres allow people to make a conscious choice as to what they really want to hear, not just what the industry deems appropriate.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would sign with a major label, however, clear lines would have to be established. Wouldn't sign anything that required reading between the lines.
Your influences?
I like a lot of hard hitting bass, complex synths and analog rhythms along with a little shaking hip hop flavor. Something I can drive to! ;) Most of my music is composed according to my mood, so don't be surprised if some of it is a little "different". Some people are immitators, and some innovators, I choose to strive for the last term.
My musical influences include Derrick May Juan Atkins Jeff Mills Kevin Saunderson Mr. Fingers The Mixmode Sound, Kraftwerk George Clinton All the hard hitting hip hop, techno and house artists of the world!
