About the song
I've been interested in writing for the guitar for some time and studied and learned to play a bit starting around 2000. My background is piano. Recently, our presenting group, the Composers Concordance has been doing concerts in clubs, rather than traditional concert halls. The clubs are the perfect venues for pieces which combine electric guitar with various acoustic instruments. This piece was performed Feb. 13, 2006 at the Cutting Room in New York City, a very congenial club with good food and a nice atmosphere. Nothing wrong with a comfortable venue for the music of our own time. Score and parts available through Seesaw Music, c/o Subito Music Corp., 60 Depot St., Verona, NJ 07044, 973-857-3440.
