Good Evening!
GloomScry is the result of several years of instrument and studio development beginning in 2003. After familiarization with drum programming and engineering for metal in Ashtorath, I thought I would step it up a notch and start playing/recording this sort of neo-classical progressive black metal. Many influences for this work which I pay homage to, this is the manifestation of 'Vampiric Hymns of Things to Come'
Why this name?
GloomScry is the sight into the seeing stone of one's mind. Basically, creative visualization allows for the forging of realms and parallel reflections. Once it can be seen in the mind's eye, it can be facilitated into music or any other medium. This ritual in GloomScry's case extends to stories and places which are conveyed in the lyrics, people and places painted in the art, sound harnessed, etc, is all relative to the dark sight.
Your influences?
shape of despair, my dying bride, emperor, morbid angel, mid dimmu borgir, old cradle of filth, opeth, old man's child, bal sagoth, graveworm, mourning beloveth, forest stream etc etc
