All Ties Severed is a way of letting us express as many forms of song experimentation as we possibly can. We have no imposed rules, so the screams can sometimes be interrupted by whispers, the loud drum can be transformed into a dog barking, as this is the essence of All Ties Severed. Why this name?

We chose this name because it embodies a break from all conformity in song genres, and allows us a wide scope in our musical endeavors.

Do you play live?

We've played small shows, but are gearing up for more live stuff soon.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

I think it exposes music to many who've only had radio and television. It allows many independant musicians to have their music heard.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

If we are allowed creative freedom, yes.

Band History:

In the year 2000, All Ties Severed was conceived in the dusty desert town of El Paso, Texas. There, creativity breeds rabidly in the mind of El Paso's artists, musicians, and performers. In an effort to break from the norm, two individuals created a home studio in which they could develop their own style and reconstruct themselves, seperating their ties to any musical preference or genre.
Being former members of the now defunct Second Hand Human (hard political punk), their music includes elements of the punk and political, but also allows them much subtler nuances in which to bury their often obscure messages.
