SEXION 8 was started for the love of the music. What started as a hobby quickly escalated into a full blown passion. After aquiring several pieces of strictly electronic equipment, SEXION 8 was formed. Drawing from influences in the techno, rap and rock genres gives the sound a unique and distinctive feel. Hard rhythms with synthesized melodies deliver that "crazy" SEXION 8 sound.... Enjoy!

Why this name?

The name SEXION 8 was adapted from the Section 8 Discharge for the mentally ill by the US military. Our style reflects the name and the name reflects our style.

Do you play live?

Yes, St. Louis area. We love it, what a rush! And of course, every moment is special.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

It minimizes the amount of money that people, who have nothing to do with the music, actually get.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

It'd have to be under special conditions, we keep ownership of our songs/ have total creative control.

Band History:

Late 90's, composing music. After 2000, started recording beats and writing and recording lyrical content. 2006 the name "SEXION 8" gave us our vision, and we've been changing the game ever since... SEXION 8 4 Life!
