My name is Vince Heiss and have been writing and playing music for the past eight. I am currently in the process of recording some new material and songwriting. I'd say my music falls into the Pop/Folk catagory rather than Country. I enjoy playing, writing and composing with all my heart. My goal is to keep doing what I love and create songs and melodies that people enjoy.

Why this name?

For now, I just use the name Vince Lee till a more suited name comes.

Do you play live?

Mostly open mics, but nothing too special. Have been concentrating on songwriting and new material lately.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

It gives people the opportunity to listen to the music of those trying to make a name for themselves. It is great to be able to hear what others are doing and thinking in their music.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

I would like to, but I would rather sign with an independent that would give me a little more freedom as to what I would like to do.

Your influences?

Having grown up around music, there are so many. James Taylor, Beatles, Skip Ewing, Bob Dylan, Townes VanZandt, and Neil Young.

Favorite spot?

One of my favorite places is San Francisco.
