“Demon Projectâ€쳌 appeared on the metal scene in beginning of the new century as a project of the progressive Russian musicians. Songs are inspired by the ancient myths of Altai – the highland part of the southern Siberia, modern world is shown through the philosophy of ancient tribes. The music style is a mixture of modern death-metal and industrial with some Siberian folk elements.
The first Demon Project album “Shaman-the wolfâ€쳌 was published by a local record label and attracted the fans with its original style. Songs from this album became a part of six metal and industrial compilations in Russia. In 2007 the band recorded and issued a promo-EP
“Fear Is My Rageâ€쳌. The EP received good reviews from the media and e-zines and it inspired the band to continue with the full-length album. The full-length CD called “Kara Oraâ€쳌 was recorded in 2008 and released by Casket Music (UK).
Right after release the band went on a Russian “Kara Oraâ€쳌 Tour. Title song was played on radio stations in Europe including famous Bruce Dickinson Friday Rockshow on BBC 6 Music.
Artwork for this CD was created by Gyula Havancsák, who made covers for Annihilator, Grave Digger, Destruction, Nightingale, Iron Maiden, and others.
In order to get the most powerful sound the band entered “Fascination Streetâ€쳌 Studio (Orebro, Sweden) and recorded the new material with leading Sweden producer Jens Bogren famous by his works with Opeth, Soilwork, Paradise Lost, God Forbid, Amon Amarth, etc. Additional vocals are performed by the famous Sweden musician Dan Swano (Edge of Sanity, Nightingale, Bloodbath...etc.)
The band is looking for the label to release the new material.

Why this name?
It's just very easy to remember :)
Do you play live?
We show up a lot, but mostly locally in Siberia, as touring for rock band in Russia was always kind of problem due to the quite low level of booking agents ...
But we like to play live very much, people are always go nuts in front of the scene and this inspires us very much.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Totaly. There is no music for money, everything is "free". But tis is not so bad as everybody say. I think there will always be some place for the CD market.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes. We had a one album contart with UK label, and this helped us much with promotion, so right now we are hopefully looking for the even bigger label to publish the fresh material. I'm sure majors will survive in any case.
Your influences?
Florida Death Metal, Trent Resnor, Classical music
Favorite spot?
Praha (Czech republic), San Francicso
