Follow Your Heart
We often go through storms or experience issues in life that might require the advice from others. We will confide in our most trusted friends and relatives to seek advice for whatever is troubling us. However, this can be very dangerous if the person we confide in is not spiritually grounded. They knowingly could be leading you down the road of destruction. They do not mean you harm but unfortunately that is often the consequence of the advice they give. The problem is that when they do not have a solution for your particular situation, they will tell you to follow your heart. This is some of the worst advice that someone can give you. Jeremiah 17:9 states that the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked: who can know it? This scripture leads me to believe that the heart is certainly not the best basis for making decisions. Read more.......
Where Are the Christians?
Our love for Jesus Christ is what defines us as Christians. The Greek word for Christian is Christianos and it simply means, follower of Christ. There are over 2 billion people around the world that call themselves Christians. In other words, there are over 2 billion followers of Christ. Now when we look at these figures it should raise great alarm. Because the reality is there are over 2 billion Christians walking this earth and only a small portion of them are true followers of Christ. Read more.......
Back of The Boat
Some times life will toss us around like a ship on a raging sea. We feel as if the world is crashing down on us and there is nothing we can do to avoid the pending impact. We have all felt this way at one time or another and what we do during this time is a measurement of our faith in God.
Remember when Jesus and his disciples were on a boat and the waves began to crash? The disciples became terrified because of the situation that was before them. The sea was trying its best to consume them, yet Jesus slept while all of this was going on around Him. Read more.......
