You may buy this CD thru either CDBABY.COM or on a variety of download services including iTunes.

Why this name?
BSQUARED fell out naturally.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
As with any technology, good or bad can come from it. MP3 certainly changes the distribution model for music, and the ability for "unknown's" to get known.

Personally, I think it is great, but....not for thievery. Use MP3 technology as a way to lower overall cost to consumers, yet please let the artists get compensated for their work.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
No
Band History:
Born out of a continuing interest in making music.

ARTIST INFORMATION

Since childhood, I have played the piano. During high school years, I also played the Clarinet, then the Saxophone, but sold it to help pay for college. I have had a piano at home since graduation from college....and won't part with it .

I enjoy a wide variety of music styles, but tend more to instrumental music. During the years, I have been fortunate to have been exposed to music from a very large list of countries I have visited. Therefore, you will probably find some elements from just about everywhere somewhere in my compositions or arrangements.

Influences run amuck over the years! From Walter (a.k.a. Wendy) Carlos, Vangelis, Kitaro, and Mars Lazar, to Joan Baez, The Eagles, Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac, Tangerine Dream, the classical composers, and numerous (no way to name them all) artists and styles from around the world from Europe to Asia and every in between. It's a real joy to experience so much good music among such much bad.

In addition to the piano, I use the Korg Wavestation, Korg 01W/FD, and the Yamaha MU2000 as hardware synths, all tied into my computer and editor/librarian software. I have a variety of software synths including the software Sound Canvas, Rebirth One, Fruity Loops and various SW synths inside it, SimSynth, DX1, Vocoder, and SayIt (speech synthesizer). Add to that some loop based music programs (Sonic Foundry Acid, Dance eJay, Data Becker Music Center Pro and Magix Music Maker, and the Sonic Foundry Sound Forge audio editor and loop maker, plus a few Gigabytes of sound samples, and I can just about screw up any type of music you could imagine. Occasionally, something will fall out of the brew that I like, and I will try to make those listenable for a wider audience and post them on MP3.COM or make a CD of them. I try to keep them out of the "bad" music category, but otherwise.....

The first group of songs I have contributed to BSQUARED are primarily dance based music, similar to Techno, or Trance. I think they are fun to do, but I know they don't meet "pure" techno or trance criteria. That is what you will find on our first CD "First Time Out"at MP3.com or CDBABY.com. However, I am working on other styles as well, so keep checking back for more news and info.

"Redneck Christmas" is a contribution from my Son and Grandson.
"Clear Water" is a contribution from my Son.
