Why this name?
I came up with it as a joke at first to play off my name "Dee" and I just stuck. Everyone started calling me that teachers in high School, the streets, everyone everywhere.
Do you play live?
Yes all through Minnesota from The Red Sea, Club 7, The Dinkytowner, everywhere in MN. As far as any special moments I never got booed.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It helps a lot, in 2008 when I dropped "Nothing to Lose Mixtape" I sold like 400 copies in the Twin Cities and over 800 on the Internet. "Everything to Gain:Tha Mixtape" did over 2,000 copies Online so it helps me push my music at places without having to be there however I'll never forget with a gift comes a curse.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
No I would stay underground doing the Independent thing, you keep you self respect and make major money still.

Born June 11, 1988 in Minneapolis, Mn. Dimitrius "Dee Bomb" Stephens grew up a hip hop head. For years, he listened to artist such as; LL Cool J, A Tribe Called Quest, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, and many more admired by the way their rhymes were format. These artists and others soon influence him to become an emcee.

Moving to Detroit, MI in 1996 with his grandparents to go to school. Dimitrius having problems getting along with his classmates, he began to rap to get his classmates to stop the teasing, "I actually beat up this dude in front of everyone to get them to stop"-dee bomb. To everyone's surprise, Dimitrius was good and would bring his talent back to Minnesota with his mother. Throughout elementary and middle school, Dimitrius (Now known as Dee) rap in front of a crowd every chance he got. Just when things as looking for him being popular for rapping in Anthony Middle School, his father got arrested and sent to prison. Attitude changed and nothing was fun anymore to Dee. Ready to quit rapping, Dee's Mother took him to her friend's house to hang out with her son, her friend's son was Twin Cities/Independent artist "King Sandman". Sandman took Dee to his studio and gave him a chance to record one of his songs. That experience made it official, Dee wanted to have a career in Rapping.

Dee soon started to make music with his friend Ryan in 2002. Now in Richfield High School, Dee release his first song "Dangerous" and went through battles at lunch, ciphers at house parties, and even random freestyles at random places to make a name for himself. After releasing Volume 1 & 2 of "Lethal Weapon Mixtape" in his neighborhood, parks, and school through 2004 & 2005, Dee (Now Dee Bomb) joined Ryan's "Urban Myth Entertainment" and including the whole crew released Installment 1 which featured Dee Bomb's solo track "Katch Up" that got played on 89.9 FM Kmoj and shot up the charts on soundclick.com in 2005.

By spring 2009 after reevaluating his raps and style, Dee Bomb changed up his style all the way around from how he used to sound. After his two hit singles, "Strivin'" and "I'm On Ya Mind (keep hatin') in rotation on internet radio stations and various sites, Dee Bomb released his third Mixtape "Everything to Gain:Tha Mixtape" (Hosted by MurdaSB of Midwest Meltdown Productions) on April 20, 2009.
