Airdreams is my Native American flute music and my label name. Airdreams is a duo: myself (composer, Native American flute, synthesizer) and Rosie O'Bourke (synthesizer, composer)
Why this name?
The music of Native American flute is like a waking dream for Rosie and me.
Do you play live?
Occasionally. But we are both college professors and have a very full schedule of classes, concerts and plays.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It democratisizes music in the sense that one needn't sell 100,000 albums or be legally lashed to a record conglomerate to share their music with the world.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Probably not. To paraphrase Groucho Marx: "Any [label] that would have someone like me as a member...I wouldn't want to join."
