Dark:30 is a hard driving, female fronted metal band. This Oklahoma City based band formed in mid 1998 and consists of Bridgett Wells on lead vocals, Kelly Wells on lead guitar, and backing vocals, and Cheryl Homen on drums. Their debut cd "Fatalism" was realeased in 2003 and their follow up cd "My Obsession" was realeased in early 2004. Dark:30's sound has a heavy awesome groove with screamin' choruses, memorable melodies, and sometimes dips into some hauntingly dark moods. You'll wake up with it stuck in your head.
In 2003, Kelly Wells, lead guitarist, was the Oklahoma winner for Guitar Center's national Guitarmeggedon contest.
In June 2004, Dark:30 had 3 songs, "My Obsession", "Still Awake", and "Disillusioned" forwarded for a vampire / horror movie soundtrack through Taxi. The single "My Obsession" was also forwarded for a cable extreme sports show, to be aired in 2005.
In June 2004, Dark:30 hit #1 on Broadjam's top 10 Heavy Metal charts with the single "Sell Out". It's had a 7 week run and is holding strong on the charts. In July 2004, Dark:30 was debuted on Oklahoma City's largest radio station, Rock 100 / The KATT. In July 2004, Dark:30 hit the top 10 on Norecordlabel.com and is currently featured on the front page.

Why this name?
At a cookout, the guy cooking the burgers said "I'm gonna be out here till Dark30, so you might as well go inside."
Do you play live?
Oklahoma City clubs.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Great for band exposure, but makes it hard for bands to sell cds with so much free music. Musicians work their butts off for very little pay.

Anything else...?
We feel we are very unique and we personally have a hard time describing our music to people when they ask "who do you sound like?", so listen and e-mail your answer to dark30okc@hotmail.com. Your critiques are welcome too. Thanks Dark30
