Whats up everybody.....? This is da Madscientist and my company is C.O.T Productionz.......

I am the owner of C.O.T Productionz and Royal Legacy Contractors(Parent Company), and in the near future, my goal is to be globally known and operate a successful business in the entertainment industry. Regardless of any visualationz you may see, I am very intelligent and very aware of the elements that surround me. I am completely about business and living life peacefully, happily and etc. So with that being said.....let's get into the music.......I'll be updating regularly and I am here to stay..........so get at me.......PEACE

Why this name?

My band name was actually a click formed by me and my mans Poetic back in da day. It's name was Concealed Tense........It was called C.O.T for short, so I just took it and came with the production side of the label......

Do you play live?

I don't play live, but I could......at the moment, I don't read music and I can't say that I could follow any type of live musical piece, so for that reason, I would'nt do a live show. But, as the time becomes available, I will learn to read sheet music and write sheet music, making the possibilities more endless......

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

Oh the internet has it's up's and down's when it comes to the music industry......all in all, I would say it's okay........but the old shcool vinly and tape cassettes, adats and all made everyone be more creative, and the ease of the internet, programs and so on makes it easier for just anyone to say they have skill and talent. The bottom line to me, true talent shines regardless of the platform that the talent is being displayed through.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Yeah, because I believe in diversity......just because I sign to a major label as a producer doesn't mean I can't continue to do other things. It's really about the fine print......if you want freedom to do you, don't sign with a label that won't grant you those gifts.......just that simple..........RZA and GZA covered that, "GOTTA READ THA LABEL, IF YOU DON'T, YOU MIGHT GET POISONED"........

Band History:

I've always been tha producer for my crew, but now I'm doing everything on my own as far as music is concerned. This is the first time that I have ever exposed my production........I'm 32 years in age and I'v been making tracks since I was around 14 and 15 years of age, I've been playing music period since I was a kid at like 5 and 6, I used to hate it because my pops would always make me play drums and sh*** on the holidays for my family and I'm like, "I want to go play outside". Music is my life now and will always be, so I have to thank him for that........so, that's pretty much how it is with me......I've not produced for any famous people or anyone who was halfway there because I didn't care to..... Now, I'm.........giving it a shot..........you know.......

Your influences?

I listen to alot of R&B from the 60s and so on, orchestra, piano medleys, jazz.........gospel, rock......but I wouldn't say I was influenced by any one thing in particular, every since I could play a chord, I've always wrote down journals on how to create a piece my speacial branded way and what not........I'm a very original producer and I make alot of different types of tracks on a regular basis, so I think the world will appreciate me for that......

Favorite spot?

I like N.Y......, but Atlanta is my home and I love it.......I'm used to it........so it's my spot, my home, my freedom, my slavery.......this is my world, I want to conquer it.......

Equipment used:

A lot........majority of the time I'm midied up, running Abelton Live(because my production style resembles that of a d.j.), and Reasons(because I love using original sounds and sampling from my own productions). I also use Magix(mainly Samplitude for recording and editing sample pieces and batch processing, cleaning and etc. Sometimes I use Cubase for mastering, other than that, I'll go use my home girl's Motif or My partna's MP.........

Anything else...?

Look, everyone is doing any and everything they can to blend in with today's sound and expectations(who's expectations I wouldn't know), but I'm delivering 'Real Music', the sounds are original, the samples are original, the drama, the cinematics, the vibe, the style is original.......the production isn't to just listen to and comment, it's too make you laugh, cry, feel and react........!!!!!!!!!! This da Madscientist.........like my home girl used to say all the time.........DON'T SLEEP ON IT.........
