8/15/10 - Puspa Dewi will be performing her Balinese folk songs in various venues throughout Bali in September through December 2010. She will be joined by a group of talented traditional Balinese dancers.
7/20/10 - Puspa Dewi is on her way to Japan and will be performing Traditional Balinese dance and offer workshops in Morioka, Iwate, Tsuruoka (Shonai), Yamagata (Tohoku), Saitama and Tokyo from 7/26/2010 to 8/8/2010.
7/1/10 - Puspa Dewi's new World pop album "Secret Wish" has been officially released and is available in high resolution MP3 files right here on Soundclick. This is Puspa Dewi's second album, a World pop album with tracks ranging from charming Indonesian pop ballads and heartfelt renditions of traditional ethnic materials to cool funky World fusion songs and catchy international dance tracks - all written, arranged and produced by Kevin Bird of Bird Productions. The musician's credit list - participating on this album, reads like a "Who's Who" of the most sought after South East Asian musicians with the addition of very talented US based arrangers and instrumentalists.

1/1/10 - Bird Productions and the online label Raining Heart Records are proud to present Puspa Dewi's new album "Bird and Flower", a Balinese Folk song album with a distinct World Music touch, followed by the World Pop album "Secret Wish", which will be available July, 2010. As to the sound palette of "Bird and Flower"... imagine classic Balinese folk and children songs like "Putri Cening Ayu" with beautiful melancholic piano and string arrangement, "Macepatan" with haunting African grooves and choirs, "Pul Sinoge" interpreted as a laid back Bossa Nova, "Jenggot Uban" in joyful South Pacific Island tradition, and the beloved "Meong Meong" as a cool and soothing New York style jazz tune. Additionally, the album also features beautiful instrumental piano pieces written by producer Kevin Bird, newly arranged and performed by pianist Henry Adam Curtis.

Puspa Dewi, a traditional Balinese dancer and performer, comes from Gianyar, the art center of Bali. She graduated from the Indonesian Institute for the Arts in Denpasar, where she studied traditional and contemporary Arts and Dance.
After receiving numerous local awards in Bali and Indonesia for her performances of traditional Balinese dance, she toured major international dance festivals throughout India, Malaysia, Taiwan, Germany and Japan.
Puspa's creative journey now continues with music; taking her passion for movement into the recording studio with an exciting double album release.
In January 2010, we released the traditional Balinese folk song album "Bird and Flower" and in July 2010, we added her second album "Secret Wish", a World pop album with tracks ranging from charming Indonesian pop ballads and heartfelt renditions of traditional ethnic materials to cool funky World fusion songs and catchy international dance tracks - all written, arranged and produced by Kevin Bird of Bird Productions.
