It gives non-mainstream, or non-commercial artists a chance to be heard, it's the one area that the big record labels have yet to dominate and manipulate. but they are working on it......

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Only with complete creative freedom, absolutely no exceptions. But I figure my chances of winning the lotto are better.
