de Triomphe is from the south suburbs of Chicago. Our mission is to simply be the best band in the world, and then die and throw away all of our riches.
Why this name?
The name originally was de Triomphe is so Awesome, then we changed it to de Triomphe is Most Certainly the Best Band Ever, and then we shortened it to de Triomphe.
Do you play live?
We play around our area. We're only 2 months old, so we're working our way up. It's always a special moment when de Triomphe plays.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it's great. If it weren't for the internet, I wouldn't know of or own any CDs of some of my favorite bands.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Better distribution, higher quality CDs, bigger tours, and money. Sure I would.
Your influences?
We're influenced by At the Drive-in, Cap'n Jazz, spastic rock bands like that. With some more melody though.
