What's up everyone. Were MR.ECT. MR.ECT is a melodic metal band from boston. We have a real passion for creating energetic & creative music that people can move to. We've been playing together for about a year now and have made a nice dent in the boston local music scene. We've had some set backs but Mr.Ect is ready to unleashed our music back to the scene again. We just hope your all ready. MR.ECT
Why this name?
we were sitting around the studio one day and someone said how about misdirect but spell it this way (MR.ECT) and it kinda just stuck with us.
Do you play live?
We love to play live. Were a very energetic live band. We love to get the crowd involed with us when we play. Our first show out was probably the funniest show we've played so far beside the Derry NH show we played for a Battle of the Bands were we placed 3rd.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It's changes the industry a little bit. I think is good in someways. It lets people that never heard our music before to listen to it and hopefully you can gain some more fans.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
if the oppurnity was there hell yeah.
Band History:
MR.ECT was formed in early March of 2003. Ex-members of FINGERBOMB, AUDITORY DYSFUNCTION & ANYWAY FORWARD came together to create MR.ECT. MR.ECT is a melodic band with influences such as: KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, DEFTONES & SEVENDUST. After a year later MR.ECT is just finishing up there 1st EP and are hoping to release int he SPRING of 2004.
