Virtue (Dionysios Klinakis) is a young music producer from Halifax, Nova Scotia trying to make his way up in the music industry. In 2006 Virtue took a big interest in producing music. He started writing and recording his own songs and quickly switched into the producers chair, teaching himself instruments, practicing recording techniques and mixing audio tracks. He has created and recorded audio tracks, songs, sound effects, and various other forms of audio for many people with satisfaction.

Virtue is always looking for new ways to create his musical ideas and is always striving for something that will take him to the next level.
Why this name?
When I was about 14 years old I was trying to think of a name for myself. I wanted something that sounded good and somethign that can be respected. A virtue is a character trait or quality valued as being good. I strive to have a good influence in my lyrics and tell a story or message that will give someone hope or help them see the truth more clearly.
Do you play live?
I've never played live but hopefully soon enough I will.
It would be an amazing feeling to experience.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet and is probably the most influential thing in the music industry right now because any artist has a shot and you never know where your mp3 file might end up.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
As long as I have some freedom to do my own thing, I would definitely sign with a major label. I probably would have already if I put myself out there more in the past but I guess I wasn't ready then. I'm getting my act together now so hopefully someone nice will come along and spot me.
Band History:
I have had a love for music since I was born. I remember from ages 5-10 I would listen to rap and Greek songs and I could sing and rap every word to them. Then one Christmas my step-sister got a small keyboard and I would sneak it into my room every day and pretend I knew how to play it. I would hit the keys trying to figure them out and eventually made a couple melodies. In grade 7 I met one of my best friends named Hasneen and we started free styling and beat boxing all during classes so that eventually lead to me producing.
Your influences?
Too many to name really..

Anyone from Dr. Dre, Beethoven, Timbaland, Frank Sinatra, Fabulous, Lil Wayne, The Game, G-Unit, The Neptunes, RZA, Jermaine Dupri, Swizz Beatz, Kanye West, J Dilla, Lil Jon, Just Blaze, The Alchemist , Scott Storch, Andre 3000, Eminem, Jazze Pha, Funkmaster Flex, Ice Cube and many more.
Favorite spot?
Fairview in Halifax NS, other than that I would say anywhere in Greece.
Equipment used:
MIDI controller (M-Audio Oxygen 49)
Audio interface (Tascam US-122L)
Condenser microphone (Tascam LD-74)
