Souvlakia consists of the members St-Vn and Asymmetrical Head. St-Vn provides the music and Asymmetrical Head provides Beats and Soundscapes. We are like Dntel and Boards of Canada with an Indie / Shoe Gazing Feel. We were in and out of bands for the past 10 to 12 years and we just found our niche in the music we do now.
Why this name?
The name Souvlakia is a greek sishkobob, but the true inspiration for the name is from Slowdive's 1994 album, Souvlaki .
Do you play live?
We have yet to play live, but we are in rehearsal stages for our live shows. So if you live in Southern California, Be on the look out for Souvlakia.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It can be used as an easier form of promotion. Many people from all over the world can hear your music... Not just a region
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes!
