I make a wide variety of music. From Trance, to DnB, to Breakbeats to House. I sample like a motherf***er and make my own sh*** here and there too. I love making video game music too.
Why this name?
It's a modified version of the name Helios. Which is like some Greek or Roman diety or something. I don't know what exactly Helios is supposed to do.
Do you play live?
Live? Like with people next to me while I'm making the stuff on my computer? Well then yeah I guess I play live.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I dunno.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
F*** no.
Band History:
Dj Helius got his humble starting way back in late 2002. He used various programs to make low quality songs that nobody liked but him. Then in April of 2003, Dj Helius's first indie EP was released. It was titled "Finding" and sold a grand total of 22 copies. F***ing hell. Currently Dj Helius is working on releasing a new EP and is also collaborating with another artist to make a new sound.
